One of the ads was a banner ad and the other two were full-page ads
At least one of the full-page ads was 100% original content (i.e., original product or service and nothing copy and pasted from other ads; clipart is permitted)
In this activity, you will create advertisements that you will then share with the class. This is an individual project, but as with all projects in this class, you are encouraged to help each other.
Step 1
Create a folder for this project on your Desktop. We will do this as a class. Call the folder Unit4
Step 2
As a class, we will view and discuss the sample advertisements. What do you notice about the ads? How is space used? Fonts? Color? Angles? How are the messages unique and creative?
Step 3
Choose a service or product to advertise! It can be a real or fictional service or product.
Once you have decided on what you are going to advertise, sketch out some ideas using paper and pencil. Try out a few different ideas before deciding on one.
When you have decided on a design, put it into digital format using any tools you wish. You can even draw designs by hand.
Step 4
Now that you have finished creating all your advertisements, it's time to share them with the class.
First you need to upload your Unit4 folder to Google Drive in order to share it.
Share the link to your Unit4 folder on both the Google Classroom Stream and the Google Classroom Activity page.
Step 5
Enjoy each other's creations! Be sure to save your links because you may want to use some of these later in the class!
Finish early? Need a challenge?
Try to make ads using some of the banner templates. This type of ad is what's used on web pages.
